When I first talked with the writer of this story he mentioned that none of these philanthropists wanted to ever be in the spotlight.  This made convincing them of getting their portraits taken a challenge.  After some thought and research, I came up with the idea to shoot them “in the shadows.”  After finding some reference shots and collaborating with photographer Keith Lanpher, I had a plan. I approached them individually with the reference shots and they all agreed to get on board with the project.  Here are the results!
