When thinking about what I wanted to do with the 80’s cover band The Deloreans, I immediately thought of laying out the story with graphics that would resemble 80’s “Teen Beat Magazine” or some other retro pop music magazine. I did a bunch of research on styles and developed a plan to shoot them in their costumes with the ability to clip them out and just go crazy like they used to do in those publications.  I had a bunch of fun putting this together, even envisioned have them as trading cards like they used to have. Came up with little phrases on some of them like “Collect All 6” and “Dreamy.” Plus introduced the sporadic 80s pop art that would be all over the place.  They loved it and so did the readers.  Photographer: Adam Ewing.
